Bad Day Due To Tinnitus
Just had a bad day due to tinnitus? We know all about those days. Waking up to a severe case of T. Distracting you throughout the day, thinking that you aren’t going to make it through.
A bad case of T can really turn our world upside down.
You never know when it’ll strike its hardest, as you are at its will. It sometimes seems impossible to keep going through the day. All you know is that you have to cope with it and that coping it away is only wishful thinking.
As your day turns worse, you begin to think why it’s happening to you and how it started to happen only to dwell more on the situation.
As the day nears an end you can’t even find solace in knowing that tomorrow will bring better days because with T you just don’t know.
This can cause major depression and a feeling of loneliness.
However you have to try and break out of the pattern of depression and self-pity.
Keep a ‘Glass is Half-Full’ Mentality
Try to stay optimistic about your situation as difficult as that may sound. Talk to other people who deal with T optimistically and ask them how they get through the day. We all have bad days but adding more negative thoughts can only extend that bad day to a worse degree.
Keep a positive attitude and remember that what doesn’t kill you (although you may feel like you are dying inside) only makes you stronger.
Try not to dwell on your T and bring your full attention to things such as work or whatever task you have on hand at that particular moment.
The Power of Now
Don’t focus your energy on the T. Instead, focus wholly on what you are trying to achieve at this particular moment. For example, when reading this article, focus on its message, focus on the space between the words. Fully engulf yourself in this moment.
Live in the NOW, not worrying about the future (if or when the T is going to go away).
Devote your attention to NOW and focus on what you are doing trying to eliminate all other things including your T. Right now, it doesn’t matter when or how you got it or when it will stop. The most important thing is to be focused on what you are doing right now.
There is a great book that I read by Eckhart Tolle, titled “The Power of Now”. It is a great book that teaches you to live in the now and learn that there are no problems only situations and even those situations don’t need to dwelled upon. It is a great read and can help you as it helped me.
Tune Out The T
Tune out your tinnitus especially on bad days. Try to minimize the things that depress you such as the news or negative environments.
Learn to relax. Look into meditation or self-hypnosis to help calm yourself and remember that you can in fact control your emotions and feelings to create a positive atmosphere.
